Pick stations, ski, sled, engine, runs, or hybrid — match today’s focus.
Start the timer
Press Start timer. Prep runs first, then work and transition rest alternate.
Train the station or run
Use work for the effort, rest for transitions or true recovery between repeats.
Stack sessions
Do ski or sled intervals one day, run repeats another, and race-station simulations weekly.
What is a HYROX timer?
HYROX races combine running with functional stations. A HYROX-style timer helps you practice station blocks, transitions, SkiErg efforts, sled power, and aerobic “engine” intervals without guessing on a phone stopwatch.
This free online HYROX timer gives race-prep presets you can start in the browser. Times are training templates — adjust on the custom timer if your gym’s programming differs.
Presets for stations, ski, sled, and runs
8 Stations uses eight work blocks with a minute between — useful for rehearsing station-to-station flow. Ski Intervals (60/60) build SkiErg capacity. Sled Power pairs short heavy efforts with longer rest so you can keep quality on push and pull.
Engine 2/1 and Run Repeats target the aerobic base between stations. Hybrid Circuit lengthens station work and shortens transitions when you want denser gym practice.
Sample HYROX prep sessions
Station day: 8 Stations with your local movements (or gym substitutes) at controlled race effort — not a redline every block.
Ski + engine: Ski Intervals, rest, then Engine 2/1 on a bike or rower.
Run emphasis: Run Repeats at goal race pace effort with easy jog recoveries.
For pure AMRAP or EMOM WODs outside HYROX prep, use the AMRAP, EMOM, or CrossFit timer pages.
Training tips
Treat rest as transition practice when simulating race flow; treat it as full recovery on sled power days.
Do not max out every interval the week of a race — use these clocks for pacing and skill under fatigue.
Log which preset and effort you used so you can progress duration or density over weeks.
Frequently asked questions
Is this an official HYROX race timer?
No. It is a free training timer with HYROX-style intervals for stations, ski, sled, runs, and engine work. Race-day timing follows event rules and your race clock.
Can I practice all eight stations with this timer?
Yes — the 8 Stations preset gives eight work blocks with transition rest. Use your own station order and movements.
What should beginners start with?
Start with Ski Intervals or Engine 2/1 at moderate effort, then add Run Repeats. Use 8 Stations once you can move smoothly between movements.
Can I customize the times?
Yes. Start from a preset, then open the custom interval timer to change work, rest, and rounds.
Is the HYROX timer free?
Yes. It runs online in your browser with no signup. The Timer PRO iOS app is optional for offline and voice-guided sessions.
